When I was little I told my dad, "When I grow up, I am going to live on a bunch of land with horses and every animal I want." He used to laugh and say, "Green Acres!" The I would agree with him, because I always loved that show and I thought their farm was great. I loved that they moved from the city to the country. So when Sam and I bought our 60 acre farm in 1994, it was quite easy for me to come up with the name. Of course we would call it Abernethy Acres. Now that we are retired, we get to enjoy our beautiful property fully.
